RTI training at Homecinema.lu – New programming languages at RTI

RTI Schulung

A renowned manufacturer from the USA for system controls

Who doesn’t know the annoying issue of multiple remote controls? As early as 20 years ago, we therefore endeavoured to provide customers with simple and intuitive operation of their home cinema with a single system remote control. After Philips Pronto was withdrawn from the market, we looked around for a suitable alternative. We decided in favour of RTI, which we still regret today. During this time, there were a number of new pieces of hardware, but the programming software was also constantly being improved.

You can find an overview of the broad programming world of RTI on our landing page.

What sets RTI apart from its market competitors is the completely open user interface on the remote control. So far, however, this has meant that programming has been very time-consuming. Hardly anyone realises how complex and time-consuming such programming is for a project.

New programming language – Integration Designer 11 (ID 11)

With the new programming language Integration Designer 11 (ID 11), however, this is much easier and time-saving for us to implement. Some user interfaces are already available here, which result in automatic assignment of the operating buttons. Other programming steps, which were previously very cumbersome, are no longer necessary thanks to intelligent background processing. However, the user interfaces provided can also be changed and saved as customised templates.

However, as the new programming language is completely different from the old type, we asked for training for ID 11. Cyrille Vergely (RTI Sales Manager for EMEA) then carried out the joint training with some colleagues from the Avitect Group at our premises in Luxembourg.

You can see from the support from RTI that as an integrator, you get full support from the manufacturer! In addition to Integration Designer 11, there is also new hardware. The operating units have all been updated. In addition to the new IST-5 and IST-10 fixed touch control panels, the most important innovations for our home cinema projects are, of course, the ISR-2 and ISR-4 mobile system remote controls. However, new controllers will be released this year that will also allow remote maintenance. For us, these are the right partner products that we need for our customised solutions.

Many thanks to Cyrille and the training, a strong partnership!
