Bond cinema with high-end technologyOur Bond cinema was a special challenge for us. The focus here was on the highest standards of image and sound, but also on a cool and inviting design. As the customer is a big James Bond fan, a concept was sought right from the initial room planning stage to best fulfil the customer’s wishes.
Customised design and lighting concept
The result is a wall design on the side walls with the classic Iris logo, which can be seen at the beginning of every Bond film. But one of our principles is: technology must be hidden! So we make sure that all the speakers (11 + 6 subwoofers) are hidden in the cinema! Behind the side walls with the Bond logo are the side surround speakers, as well as acoustic absorbers and coloured LED backlighting.
A 3.7 metre wide, acoustically transparent 21:9 screen from Screen Excellence was mounted on the front wall. Behind it are the 3 Krix PIX front speakers and 4 x 15’ subwoofers, as well as acoustic absorbers.
The 4 Krix Hyperphonix 45 Atmos speakers are mounted in precisely defined positions above the fabric panelling on the ceiling. On the rear wall, the two surround backs of the same series are also concealed behind the fabric wall. There are also 2 x 15’ subwoofers above the podium, in a separate box. They provide active mode cancellation in the bass range.
The platform is equipped with 4 luxury cinema seats for the 2nd row of seats. The 1st row of seats has 3 seats. The cinema technology is installed in a technology rack in the adjoining room. In addition to the Trinnov pre/power amplifier combination, the UHD Blu-Ray playback system, various IP TV players and the control centre from RTI can also be found here. In addition to the cinema technology, we also use the RTI system remote control to intuitively control the KNX lighting control with the indirect LED coloured lights and spotlights in various lighting scenarios from our seats. The 8K projector from JVC impresses with a fantastic image experience on the 3.6 metre wide screen.
What is particularly impressive about this cinema reference is not just the Bond design and the sound intro, which you marvel at when you first enter the room, but above all the fantastic sound and image experience that you have every time you watch a film. Customers have given us positive feedback on this several times. EVERYONE is delighted with this cinema!
